Volunteer of the Month (September)

Volunteer of the Month (September)
October 4, 2021 STERAbuja

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.”

Elizabeth Andrew

At Stand To End Rape, we understand that giving back is at the core of humanity. We also know that those who give back don’t do it because they have nothing else to do but are passionate about society. This is why we love to recognize our volunteers, who go above and beyond to fight against sexual violence and actively contribute to our initiative’s day-to-day running.

This month, we would like to recognize Deborah. She is a member of the Litigation Department. In getting to know more about her, we asked a few questions:

WHAT/ WHO INSPIRES YOU?

I am inspired by music, the people I care about, and the people who care about me and my faith.

WHAT IS YOUR MANTRA?

Love people, Love God, Live life.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?

Watch movies/series/cartoons, listen to music, hang out at exciting places, read books and sleep.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR I5-YEAR OLD SELF?

YOLO, so make the best of every opportunity, encounter, person, work experience, etc.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A SAFE NIGERIA?

A safe Nigeria is one that is safe, secure and ensures that the rights of all citizens are fully protected.

Thank you, Deborah. We appreciate the work you do and the time you put in. Keep up the excellent work!!!
