Communications Officer
Tolulope Elfrida Adeleye is a Nigerian living in Nigeria. She studied English at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. After graduating, she worked at a news press, where she learnt the ropes of traditional media. Soon, she transitioned into digital media and has worked there ever since.
As Communications Officer for the Stand to End Rape Initiative, she is responsible for strategic communications planning, storytelling, and outreach programmes.
As a feminist, she identifies strongly with the organisation’s mission to catalyse innovative programs, policies, and public engagement efforts and create transformative policy-wide behavioural and systemic changes in the lives of women and girls in Nigeria.
Her experience as a Nigerian informs her writing greatly. After all, who better to tell the story of Nigerian girls and women than a Nigerian woman herself? When she’s not reading or writing, she’s enjoying the very Nigerian meal of amala and listening to Afrobeats.
