It gives us great pleasure to announce that STER, amongst many, has been selected as a participant in the 2020-21Cohort of the Hil Justice Accelerator Program. The HiiL Justice Accelerator program, a brainchild of the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL), has supported over 120 startups since 2011.
This initiative, which is spearheaded by the HiiL, a justice accelerator outfit based in the Hague, The Netherlands, will improve social justice entrepreneurs’ capability across countries and sectors working for a common cause: making justice accessible to every individual.
As a social enterprise charged with driving public awareness, mobilising change in policies, and engaging in survivor support, our mission at STER (tackling Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in all its manifestations) aligns with the core goals of the Hill Justice Accelerator Program.
As participants of the cohort, STER will enjoy a five-month-long period of intensive business development support with rich insight into improving impact, scaling the organisation, and connecting with an extensive network of other social justice entrepreneurs.
The program will also avail us the opportunity to pitch to an international jury for non-equity seed funding to the tune of €10,000. We will experience first-rate teaching, coaching, mentorship, and increased global exposure to optimise the extent of our reach and the impact of our work.
We look forward to the HiiL Justice Accelerator Program’s remarkable changes to our culture and ethics as an organisation.
