As a part of a Civil Society Organisation coalition and a youth-led movement called #choice4Life, STER facilitated online campaigns and pushed for the passage of this Bill which aims to prevent and respond to violence against all persons, especially Nigerian women and girls. In May 2015, this Bill was assented into Law by former President, Goodluck Jonathan. This Law is applicable in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and parts of these Law have been adopted by various States such as Lagos, Ekiti, Enugu, Kaduna, Anambra among a few others. Our advocacy continues towards the complete adoption of the Law across all Nigerian States.
