In June 2016, in partnership with The Malala Fund and Youth Hub Initiative, we visited two remote communities in Ojo Local Government and Apapa-Iganmu Local Government Areas to speak to young girls on education. We also engaged the parents on the importance of girl-child education and sex education. Parents were encouraged to allow their children a safer and better education through education.
This project was implemented in partnership with Stay in School Nigeria. 20 young girls from these communities that account for out-of-school children were granted full scholarship through our partnership with the Initiative.
